Twilight......

Ok, I guess everyone has seen the movie that wants to by now. I have seen it twice and would go again probably. I loved it. I know it was different than the book on some parts but I still quite enjoyed the journey. Edward Cullen is HOT!!! I'm just sayin.... I thought he did a fab job playin my fave vampire. Oh, and he was HOT, HOT, HOT!!!! I loved all the actors except for the chick that played Rosalee. I thought they coulda picked better on her for sure. She was not what I had pictured. Anyway, that being said. I loved the movie!! Yes, I will own it. And I am stoked that they are making the next book into a movie. Although my personal opinion is that they should combine New Moon and Eclipse with a huge amount of book/movie time devoted to Eclipse. Eclipse was my fave book of the series. New Moon was my least fave but if we gotta do it to get to Eclipse then we gotta do what we gotta do!! I have some more pix of the crazy movie midnight experience from Amy I just gotta figure out how to post them from my email. The fact that I can find and post pix out of our pix is a pure miracle. Anyway, Amy and I went to Mi Chula's my new favorite place to eat. Its so awesome. We took a pix there but I did some weird thing with my hand so I look like I'm deformed. Not sure what was up with that. Then we went to the theater for a loooooooonnnnnggggg sit~n~wait. We were sandwiched between some die hard Twilighters and some chicks that had not even heard of the books until about a month ago. SACRILEGE!!! They prob thought we were nuts!! They were all really cute though. The group in front of us were way into it. They had video of the kid that played Edward from the Galleria mall when he came. They were cute and giddy. The group behind us was fun too, one of the chicks leaned over to me and said " we shoulda brought a flask" LOL I am such a party animal!! As time got closer to theater entry the crowd got restless. It was fun to be with all the nutty kids and feel young again with all the teeny boppers. When they finally let us in all the people in front of us were jumping and running in screaming so we of course had to join in. The theater worker was cracking up at us. Once inside and seated the countdown began. About every 3 minutes another update on time was announced by someone. Along with a time update a girl would also announce that she wanted to have Edward's baby. I kept my mouth shut that I already have 3 of Edward's babies. I left out all neener neener neener's. ;) All in all it was a fabulous chick night. You can go back to my last post to click on Amy's blog to see pix if I dont figure out how to edit and add pix. I really gotta learn more about this whole picture deal. Anyway, I have said all this to say......if you didnt like the movie, keep it to your dang self. LOL I would recommend reading the book first. Sometimes the movie sux and the book is better but in this case for me I loved both in their own way. And........EDWARD CULLEN IS HOT!!!!!

Oh, I forgot. You know how we made shirts. Ok, ok Amy made my shirt and hers......hey, I stood there and wiped the sweat and was cute and sassy as usual. That takes serious effort!! So anyway, Amy has a fabulous shirt!! It said Team Edward in very fancy bling bling letters. The problem was/is she is very well endowed. LOL So her shirt looked like it said Team DWAR!!!!! LOL Bwahahahahahaha!! Amy is so fun!! We had the best time flashin our bling bling chesty shirts around for Edward!!

Ok, so I know that this is early but I am so fricken stoked I can barely sit down to type this. Amy and I read the Twilight series together, well she finished way before me but was there for me to call 24/7 about all the fun stuff. Anyway, so she and I made plans to be with the crazy fans of Twilight at midnight(yeah I know that makes us one of them). So Amy came over to help me make a shirt for the show. Well.....to make it for me. (the ironing challenged!!!) Which, by the way, she did a fabulous job and if you want to see it click here. Yes those really are my uhhhuuummmm on her blog. But isnt the shirt so dang cute!! Ames takes care of me!! We are going to Mi Chula's then going across the street to the Harkins for the loooonnnnnggggg wait. I may get intro'd to monster drink tonight. I havent stayed up this late in forfrickenever!! Well unless a kiddo or 3 tag teamed me. Which by the way happened last night and I am too excited getting ready to even try for a nap. Anyway, I just wanted to let ya know if ya wanna see my chest on da web, check it...yo!!!! Baaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! I feel like I'm 17 again!! This is not the last time you will hear about the movie from me I'm sure!!

Ethan's first kiss!!

So last night was literacy night at Ethan's school. Ed took the young 'uns to Mc D's and Ethan and I headed over for stories and fun, fun, fun!!! lol It actually was fun. The stories were fun and the teachers were so cute all dressed up. Anyway, McKayla was the only other kiddo from Ethan's class that was there so they were connected at the hip. He adores her and vise versa. She is sweet. Anyway, while I was talking to her mom and the crossing guard I looked over just in time to see McKayla kiss Ethan!! She was so embarrassed that I saw her but it was so cute that I hadda give her a wink. She has impeccable taste in men!!! It was a fabulous moment, I got some shots with my blackberry so if they come out I'll post em. I gotta figure that one out.

Brook's 5th

Our cousin Brook had a princess party for her 5th birthday. Lexie of course wanted to be sleeping beauty. (her dress is pink after all!!) Lexie is all things pink lately. It was fun but Lexie had a little bit of a hard time sharing her cousin with the other girls. Lexie was also the youngest there too and so she did her shy thing.
Lexie and Brook and aunt Lauren in the background
making the cute tiara hat
Watching Taylor teach us all how to dance like a Princess!!

.....and then when I went in to check on Ethan at bedtime this is what I found!! I cannot wait to use this pix someday, some glorious day!!!!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAAAA!!!!

Today I am grateful!

Today my heart is heavy. Duane Summers lost his battle with cancer on Monday and this whole week has been so strange for me since that. Now I was never close to either Becky or Duane but until we moved to Tx 4 years ago I always admired their family. And it was neat to see their family grow. Becky always seemed like the most pleasant mommy and Duane seemed like a great daddy too. It was about a year ago when Jessie called me to tell me to kiss and hug my hubby and be grateful that he is healthy. I have always been really grateful to have such a great hubby and not really sure how I swung that one!

Becky and Duane's story has made me appreciate my family so much more. The one thing that I think of every time I used to see them was at one of Jessie's kiddo's bday. I had to work so Ed took Ethan over to play. I think they had 5 kiddos then but I'm not sure. Anyway, Ethan was about a year old. He has always loved to be around kids so it was a great place to be. Duane pulled Ethan around Jessie's living room in a box forever from what I heard. Duane loved kiddos and babies. Anyway, I guess I have said all this to say that I am grateful to have known Duane even the little bit that I did. I think he was a great man and I know that he will be missed and loved forever. Their journey has been a tough one but it has made me stronger and better. So today I am grateful to be me and to have and incredible family that loves me and that I love more than words can say.

Halloween

This has taken a long time to post for reasons that I shouldnt make public. LOL ;) Our kiddos love Halloween I think more than Christmas. We have started a tradition of driving at bedtime for about 30 to 45 mins 3 to 4 times a week to see all the fun decorations. We do Halloween and Christmas. So the season of driving at night is not over yet. The funny thing is that some of the people go all out and really do some fun stuff but unless they have an inflatable......well, my kids arent even a little interested. I'll say isnt that cool, look at.....and before I get it out of my mouth Ethan has stated the obvious that they dont have a blowup so we must move on!! He is so funny.

Our ward(church group) had an excellent party for Halloween. We had it in a 300 year old barn that was shipped here from NY somewhere. It was beautiful. Typical Colleyville. lol Although in my years growing up in the Oklahoma countryside I had never seen a barn this beautiful. Not really sure how functional it was as a barn 300 years ago. Maybe it was restored, I dunno. Anyway, it was gorgeous!! Ed was a chili cook off judge. He was the cutest and best judge there!! Of course. The kiddos loved the whole night. Ethan dressed as an oompa loompa, he is obsessed with the original willy wonka. Lexie wanted to be a ballaweeena. I love the way she says it. And Zach was Charlie Brown. Zach has such a cute round face so Charlie Brown was perfect for him. We used the same costumes for trick or treating too. I worked forever on Ethans oompa loompa costume.

~~~~~~~~~~~~oompa loompa's would be jealous if they saw him~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ such a cute balleweeeeena!!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Also while trick or treating we ran into 2 of our fave sitters!! So we hadda get a pix!! They are so sweet and the kiddos love em!!

I'm not sure who spider man is but i love that he stopped to get a pix with strangers. Anyhow it was a fabulous week of Halloween fall activities. The fall's here are so fabulous by the way, it almost makes it worth it to endure the hot summers.;)
