Twilight......

Ok, I guess everyone has seen the movie that wants to by now. I have seen it twice and would go again probably. I loved it. I know it was different than the book on some parts but I still quite enjoyed the journey. Edward Cullen is HOT!!! I'm just sayin.... I thought he did a fab job playin my fave vampire. Oh, and he was HOT, HOT, HOT!!!! I loved all the actors except for the chick that played Rosalee. I thought they coulda picked better on her for sure. She was not what I had pictured. Anyway, that being said. I loved the movie!! Yes, I will own it. And I am stoked that they are making the next book into a movie. Although my personal opinion is that they should combine New Moon and Eclipse with a huge amount of book/movie time devoted to Eclipse. Eclipse was my fave book of the series. New Moon was my least fave but if we gotta do it to get to Eclipse then we gotta do what we gotta do!! I have some more pix of the crazy movie midnight experience from Amy I just gotta figure out how to post them from my email. The fact that I can find and post pix out of our pix is a pure miracle. Anyway, Amy and I went to Mi Chula's my new favorite place to eat. Its so awesome. We took a pix there but I did some weird thing with my hand so I look like I'm deformed. Not sure what was up with that. Then we went to the theater for a loooooooonnnnnggggg sit~n~wait. We were sandwiched between some die hard Twilighters and some chicks that had not even heard of the books until about a month ago. SACRILEGE!!! They prob thought we were nuts!! They were all really cute though. The group in front of us were way into it. They had video of the kid that played Edward from the Galleria mall when he came. They were cute and giddy. The group behind us was fun too, one of the chicks leaned over to me and said " we shoulda brought a flask" LOL I am such a party animal!! As time got closer to theater entry the crowd got restless. It was fun to be with all the nutty kids and feel young again with all the teeny boppers. When they finally let us in all the people in front of us were jumping and running in screaming so we of course had to join in. The theater worker was cracking up at us. Once inside and seated the countdown began. About every 3 minutes another update on time was announced by someone. Along with a time update a girl would also announce that she wanted to have Edward's baby. I kept my mouth shut that I already have 3 of Edward's babies. I left out all neener neener neener's. ;) All in all it was a fabulous chick night. You can go back to my last post to click on Amy's blog to see pix if I dont figure out how to edit and add pix. I really gotta learn more about this whole picture deal. Anyway, I have said all this to say......if you didnt like the movie, keep it to your dang self. LOL I would recommend reading the book first. Sometimes the movie sux and the book is better but in this case for me I loved both in their own way. And........EDWARD CULLEN IS HOT!!!!!

Oh, I forgot. You know how we made shirts. Ok, ok Amy made my shirt and hers......hey, I stood there and wiped the sweat and was cute and sassy as usual. That takes serious effort!! So anyway, Amy has a fabulous shirt!! It said Team Edward in very fancy bling bling letters. The problem was/is she is very well endowed. LOL So her shirt looked like it said Team DWAR!!!!! LOL Bwahahahahahaha!! Amy is so fun!! We had the best time flashin our bling bling chesty shirts around for Edward!!

GNO!!!!

Ok, so I know that this is early but I am so fricken stoked I can barely sit down to type this. Amy and I read the Twilight series together, well she finished way before me but was there for me to call 24/7 about all the fun stuff. Anyway, so she and I made plans to be with the crazy fans of Twilight at midnight(yeah I know that makes us one of them). So Amy came over to help me make a shirt for the show. Well.....to make it for me. (the ironing challenged!!!) Which, by the way, she did a fabulous job and if you want to see it click here. Yes those really are my uhhhuuummmm on her blog. But isnt the shirt so dang cute!! Ames takes care of me!! We are going to Mi Chula's then going across the street to the Harkins for the loooonnnnnggggg wait. I may get intro'd to monster drink tonight. I havent stayed up this late in forfrickenever!! Well unless a kiddo or 3 tag teamed me. Which by the way happened last night and I am too excited getting ready to even try for a nap. Anyway, I just wanted to let ya know if ya wanna see my chest on da web, check it...yo!!!! Baaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! I feel like I'm 17 again!! This is not the last time you will hear about the movie from me I'm sure!!

Ethan's first kiss!!

So last night was literacy night at Ethan's school. Ed took the young 'uns to Mc D's and Ethan and I headed over for stories and fun, fun, fun!!! lol It actually was fun. The stories were fun and the teachers were so cute all dressed up. Anyway, McKayla was the only other kiddo from Ethan's class that was there so they were connected at the hip. He adores her and vise versa. She is sweet. Anyway, while I was talking to her mom and the crossing guard I looked over just in time to see McKayla kiss Ethan!! She was so embarrassed that I saw her but it was so cute that I hadda give her a wink. She has impeccable taste in men!!! It was a fabulous moment, I got some shots with my blackberry so if they come out I'll post em. I gotta figure that one out.

Brook's 5th

Our cousin Brook had a princess party for her 5th birthday. Lexie of course wanted to be sleeping beauty. (her dress is pink after all!!) Lexie is all things pink lately. It was fun but Lexie had a little bit of a hard time sharing her cousin with the other girls. Lexie was also the youngest there too and so she did her shy thing.
Lexie and Brook and aunt Lauren in the background
making the cute tiara hat
Watching Taylor teach us all how to dance like a Princess!!

.....and then when I went in to check on Ethan at bedtime this is what I found!! I cannot wait to use this pix someday, some glorious day!!!!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAAAA!!!!

Today I am grateful!

Today my heart is heavy. Duane Summers lost his battle with cancer on Monday and this whole week has been so strange for me since that. Now I was never close to either Becky or Duane but until we moved to Tx 4 years ago I always admired their family. And it was neat to see their family grow. Becky always seemed like the most pleasant mommy and Duane seemed like a great daddy too. It was about a year ago when Jessie called me to tell me to kiss and hug my hubby and be grateful that he is healthy. I have always been really grateful to have such a great hubby and not really sure how I swung that one!

Becky and Duane's story has made me appreciate my family so much more. The one thing that I think of every time I used to see them was at one of Jessie's kiddo's bday. I had to work so Ed took Ethan over to play. I think they had 5 kiddos then but I'm not sure. Anyway, Ethan was about a year old. He has always loved to be around kids so it was a great place to be. Duane pulled Ethan around Jessie's living room in a box forever from what I heard. Duane loved kiddos and babies. Anyway, I guess I have said all this to say that I am grateful to have known Duane even the little bit that I did. I think he was a great man and I know that he will be missed and loved forever. Their journey has been a tough one but it has made me stronger and better. So today I am grateful to be me and to have and incredible family that loves me and that I love more than words can say.

Halloween

This has taken a long time to post for reasons that I shouldnt make public. LOL ;) Our kiddos love Halloween I think more than Christmas. We have started a tradition of driving at bedtime for about 30 to 45 mins 3 to 4 times a week to see all the fun decorations. We do Halloween and Christmas. So the season of driving at night is not over yet. The funny thing is that some of the people go all out and really do some fun stuff but unless they have an inflatable......well, my kids arent even a little interested. I'll say isnt that cool, look at.....and before I get it out of my mouth Ethan has stated the obvious that they dont have a blowup so we must move on!! He is so funny.

Our ward(church group) had an excellent party for Halloween. We had it in a 300 year old barn that was shipped here from NY somewhere. It was beautiful. Typical Colleyville. lol Although in my years growing up in the Oklahoma countryside I had never seen a barn this beautiful. Not really sure how functional it was as a barn 300 years ago. Maybe it was restored, I dunno. Anyway, it was gorgeous!! Ed was a chili cook off judge. He was the cutest and best judge there!! Of course. The kiddos loved the whole night. Ethan dressed as an oompa loompa, he is obsessed with the original willy wonka. Lexie wanted to be a ballaweeena. I love the way she says it. And Zach was Charlie Brown. Zach has such a cute round face so Charlie Brown was perfect for him. We used the same costumes for trick or treating too. I worked forever on Ethans oompa loompa costume.

~~~~~~~~~~~~oompa loompa's would be jealous if they saw him~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ such a cute balleweeeeena!!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Also while trick or treating we ran into 2 of our fave sitters!! So we hadda get a pix!! They are so sweet and the kiddos love em!!

I'm not sure who spider man is but i love that he stopped to get a pix with strangers. Anyhow it was a fabulous week of Halloween fall activities. The fall's here are so fabulous by the way, it almost makes it worth it to endure the hot summers.;)

7 random things

So I am just really learning this blog etiquette so here goes. Julie tagged me in a post on listing 7 random things. Here goes.....
1. I think potatoes in any form are fab!! love em raw, love em mashed, love em fried.......you get the pix. They are the veggie of choice for me!!

2. I love, love, love, love musicals, my personal fave is Les Miserables.

3. I have a huge crush on John Krazinski!!

4. Love Jazzercise!! I am Angela's class manager for Keller Jazzercise. woot woot!!

5. I have always wanted to spank someone riding their bike on the road while they were riding. (not to hurt them....i just think with all that Lycra on their tight buns they prob need a good spank!!:))

6. I loooooovvvvveeee battle phlinx on pogo. I know, weird!! fun game though, and I will smack ya down!!

7. I just may burst into song at any given moment, and it may or may not apply to the conversation at the time. ( i think i'm a little ADD, lol)

boo boo's stink!!

This week my sweet Lexie got her very first fat lip. She was hanging on the back of Ed's knee's with her head going thru the front, like under london bridges, when she lost her grip. So since her arms were behind her she got the full impact of the fall. It was so sad!! She was totally sure her daddy had just pushed her down. The grossest part was that she was eating some red grapes at the time. So she had a partly chewed up grape in her mouth that was kinda crushed in her teeth. Well her mouth was bleeding a bit so the red grape had a little blood on it and it was already a red one. So when I got her to open her mouth so I could see the first thing I saw was a chunk of grape "fleshy" junk. I was like craaaaappppppp!!! I thought she had bit a chunk of tongue off. Then I realized it was a grape. Whew!! Anyway's here's my poor little girl with her fat lip.

lookin like Julia Roberts...still adorable!!

Zach's First Birthday

So here goes......Zach's birthday at a glance. Its funny now to see how different we are as parents than when Ethan had his first birthday. No Martha Stewart treats, no carved watermelon, just us and cake from target. We had a blast though. The kids helped us decorate and get all ready, it was way fun.

~~~~~~~~~~~~Getting started, he looks a little bewildered doesnt he!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~Ethan wouldnt touch his first cake.....Zach has no qualms with brutalizing it~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Not too bad~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Me likes..................~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Oh dear..........get the bath going!!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I do believe he won!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~and of course the slam dunk new toy!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And he's down for the count!! We had a great birthday for him!! Then after the slammin partay...dun dun dun dun.......mommy and daddy got to go for some sushi!! Now thats what I call a fabulous birthday!! Loves it!!!!
Helllloooooooo Ladieeeeeeees!!!!
Here's my boy in the battle with spaghetti. Yeah, you may have guessed....Zach won!! He is so different than Ethan, Zach wont touch pasta unless it has some kind of sauce on it and Ethan wont touch it with sauce on it.
He is such a stinkin cutie!!
I totally cant wait to show these pix to the first chick he brings home!! She must be warned about his dinner manners!!;)
6th pix from the 6th folder tag
This is the tag from Julie, its the 6th pix in the 6th folder. I made sure not to do it on the 6th. Didnt wanna get too creepy!! LOL This is Ed and Ethan in the condo that we lived in right after we moved to Dallas. Dont look around them at the messiness of the place just concentrate on the cuteness of two of the men in my life. Ethan was barely 18 months old and as cute as ever.
Ethan's first day of Kindergarten
dontcha just love Lexie plastismile girl!!!
here's the school flag with some dang cute kiddos in front of it
Mrs Murphy
So we finally did it, Ethan is in school. He is loving it. I was doing so good barely crying at all when as I was walking back across the street( we live right across the street from Keller Harvel) I twisted my foot. It hurt more than a normal twist but I ignored it and went on so I could prove to Ed that I was a big girl and could send my kid to school without crying all day. As long as I kept moving I was fine. But when I drove to target to get a couple of things I was having some trouble walking so I got all I needed quickly and went home. I sat down at the puter for a few minutes before I had to walk across the street to get my boy. When I stood up I almost fell over. I was like holy crap I gotta go get Ethan. So I gimped over to get him. I'm sure that was quite amusing to watch. Serious hobbling. I was so fricken slow, Lexie kept asking why I was walking so slow. I made it in the house and passed out on the couch with my foot so sore that I was in tears. lol it was really pathetic. So Amy called in the middle of the whole mess and rushed over to save the day. Thank you so much Amy for all you do and did for me!!! I had never hurt my foot or ankle that bad before but dang what a great distraction for me. I wasnt sad at all after that. My fat fred flinstone foot hurt so bad that I couldnt see straight for a few days. LOL the Lord works in mysterious ways. ( gotta blame someone I guess, its too embarrassing to admit that I cant even walk anymore.....imagine the damage if I had been chewing gum!!!!)
cute dimples!!!!
Ok so Chris Rock is totally right!!! He was doing a stand up special a few years back and I thought it was funny but til last week I never truly understood the depth of his comments. He was talking about being the father of daughters and how his main job was tough but still the most important. His sole purpose was to "keep his girls off the pole". Now I laughed at the time but didnt really get the gravity of what he was saying til last week with my very own little girl. I was giving a girlfriend of mine a manicure and Lexie was looking on and being very cute of course. Well my friend looked over at Lexie and said--- "you have the cutest dimples" ---well I was doing the manicure so I didnt look up until Amy was bustin up. My sweet daughter had her shirt up to her neck, smiling hugely, pointing at her nipples and saying thank you!!! I thought I was gonna die laughing. We had a little lesson about where dimples were after that. These kiddos crack me up!!! And yes, we are working hard to keep her off the pole!!!
AAAaaaaahhhhh!!!
So, today I was reading while having lunch. Just minding my own beeswax reading in Eclipse about the werewolves meeting with the Cullen's in the clearing to prepare for the fight of the newbie vamps. So one could say that it was a kind of intense moment in the book. My kiddos had already had lunch and were off in their rooms dumping out the Ikea bins of toys that are in there so it was relatively quiet. So in the book its in the middle of the night and this intense moment is about to happen so my heart is all racing and all(yeah I know I need to get out more!!) when I hear......Val, ever so faintly. I think that I'm imagining it and I look back at the book when again......Val... a little louder. So I jump outa my chair and start looking around. I'll let you know now that I had been washing bottles so my shirt was wet and I took it off and didnt grab a new one so I was in my undergarments/ bra and my cozy pants with a slammin cute side pony tail. Oh yeah I stillllllll love that!!! That was the only way to wear your hair til the big bang hit the scene. Then you could combine the two when the occasion arised. Anyhow, so picture me looking around like CRAP!!!! Is someone here and if they have a camera I wiiiilllll break it!!! LOL Then there it is again. VAL!! Well, now I have to admit that I keep my cel phone in my bra when I'm at home because if I didnt I would soooo lose it. So I pull out my phone because if someone's here I may need to throw something at them I guess and I see that the light is on, on the phone. So I put it up to my ear and guess what. Its Amy!!! I hadnt locked my keys on the phone and she was the last person I had called so there ya go. It wasnt a vampire or a werewolf. It was my homegirl Amy!! And thankgoodness, I dont think my heart or my crazy hormone life lately coulda taken the humiliation of someone seeing my like that. Although the hair was slammin!! I still dig the side pony!! Oh and the books are way fun!! Any book where the resident hottie is named Edward......I'm in!!!!
Wal Mart Parenting
Why is it that when you are out with the kiddos that the only time you see someone that you know is when the kids are doing some obnoxious thing. We were at target(my home away from home) a few days ago and we had done well. The kids were really good and the whole experience was good so we went to checkout. As we are checking out we are in the "target hates all parents" zone. You know, all the candy and chips and small toys and flashlights ect that gets little fingers going. I am usually prepared by that point either with the next destination in mind or lunch or something good but this time Ed was with me. Well that threw off my game. So I am scrambling to keep little fingers from filling with candy and junk and trying to keep Lexie from putting stuff down her shirt when I hear a "hi" from in front of us. There is the doctor that pulled my wisdom teeth( we also go to church with him) and his perfectly behaved kids standing there. Well when I looked up Lexie saw the opening and jumped into the checkout stand next to us and began deconstructing the whole place as fast as possible all the while my face is changing 15 shades of red and I'm trying not to be the angry mom. We had such a good shopping experience and in about 3 seconds we were "those people" who were walmart parenting right in front of someone we knew. Of course!!! I could probably get the walmart parenting award of the year there!! I didnt yell by the way but I'm sure the look on my face spoke volumes.
School is going good so far for Ed. The Marketing assoc is paying for his trip to Chicago all except for $100 so shazam.....he's in like flynn!!! He is pretty excited about all the things he has going on. It will be nice to see where this whole "adventure" will lead us.
Here's a pix of Ethan on his and Lexie's birthday lunch with daddy.
And here they are with jaws at Bass Pro.
Lexie is so funny, she does this crazy smile now when we are trying to take a pix. She's a fun girl even at Target. Okay, I'm going to try to post this and see if it works. Ames, this is all by myself.........you should be so proud. ( if it works) ;)
Ok trip pix
You cant tell but this is a "baby" water balloon.
Gma and Lexie at the zoo on the teeter-totter
The earthquake machine...Lexie was on it right up til it started quake!!
then she was outa there!!
yep.....here's proof......he's a monkey!!
definately related!!;)
They move my world too!!
Today, the force came and showed me how to do the pix!!! Ames, your da bomb!!!!! Nothing but love for ya sista!!!;)
They got me!!!
I finally broke down and started the Twilight series. I just couldnt imagine that a teen vampire love story would be my gig. But after even the dogs have read it and the movie is getting close I gave in. My sweet hubby got me a basket of goodies and Twilight was in it right before he started school so I read it in about 3and a half days. Its a quick read and really good. I have quite enjoyed teasing my Ed that Edward Cullen wouldnt say that or do that. lol I would go look up some clip art to post here but that would require the use of the force for me. ;)
Labor Day
We had wanted to make a sand box for awhile. The kiddos love to play in the sand and we decided that we just dont have quite enough grit and sand in our house so we finally put the sandbox together. The kiddos love it but I just cant decide how redneck it really is. It is supposed to be a toddler kid bed, out neighbor gave it to us when she moved in but Ethan has been in a twin bed since he was 2 so we didnt want to downsize him. So I had the thought to put it in the backyard and get some sand. lol You know your a redneck if you throw a bedframe in the backyard and put the kids in it with sand. Jeff Foxworthy would have a hay day....I can just hear it. lol
Wiggly Play Center
Ok so last week we went to the Wiggly Play Center. We always have so much fun there. It was Zach's first time there besides when he was in bellio. They dont really have jails there but maybe that would be a good idea. lol Dang this kiddo is getting cuter everyday. (and heavier!! he is fricken huge) We also had shocktarts for the first time. Sorry for both pix being at the top but I just cant seem to figure out how to add a pix then text. Its just beyond me and my abilities. I need the dang force right now!!!!
School for daddy seems to about the same as his work schedule. I guess we can do anything for 2 years. Well, I hope we can anyway. Should be interesting. So far so good though.
So I dont know when the right time to discuss privates are but we have started the convo since watching E.T. We were so excited that our kiddos liked that movie until Lexie and Ethan began to call each other penis breath. Yeah, Eliot kinda calls his bro that and now it has almost become a commonly used phrase. CRAP!!!! The naughty chair is getting alot of use these days. Anyway, Lexie made sure to tell me that my woo was private too and that I shouldnt talk about it. Whew!!!!! I was a little confused about that one. ( i have called my privates my woo since i can remember, dont really know why) Funny story, when Ed and I were getting married we were driving thru Henryetta and there was a Chinese restaurant called the Golden Woo. We about died laughing!! Its gone now but references are made all the time. I wont go into detail. ;) `
Peace~Love~Monkey
daddy won the gold!!!!
I know, I know.......I always take forever to post something. I feel like I have blog moments but they dont always translate into a typing moment for me. This last week was a blurr. Ed has been in a START workshop for his MBA program which concluded last night at Joe T Garcias for dinner and awards. I want to do a pix but as usual that will have to wait for another day. They split into groups for a final project that was "graded" by the 2nd year students. So Ed's group did a car/ vanpool concept. I was like.....(you know me) how boring!!! Do something cool. lol Another group did a morbid idea that was still very interesting. Their idea was an alternative to cremation. Anyway, as morbid as it was it was still very interesting. So the did a medal ceremony and gave out gold, silver and bronze. So when Ed's group didnt win bronze or silver I was like....oh well, Ed's group is out. Waaaaaaayyyyyyy to boring of an idea to win. So they announced the winner and they started to describe the benefits of the winning team project and it sounded a lot like what Ed had done. I was like...NO WAY!!!!! And of course it was so Ed has his first gold medal in grad school. We are so proud of daddy. Several people came up to Ed and said that he was the glue that won that whole deal. Yeah my head is swelling again. I not only married a hunky guy, he's a stinkin genius!!!
Also this week we got to meet our newest Guidry in the family. Esther Kenna, she is beautiful. Adorable and tiny. Uncle Bill and aunt Mandy are so cute!! We didnt get to spend much time with them but the time we did see them was fun.
Zach is starting to wave at people and is just growing like crazy. The blessing of him growing so fast is that Zach and Ethan may be in the same size clothing by the end of summer. Unless Ethan hits a growth spurt and Zach slows down. Ethan is growing like a normal kiddo its Zach that must be getting into the miracle grow. He hasnt nursed in over 2 months so its not my fault anymore.
Lexie is such a sweetie!!! She is a big time momma's girl. She's prissy at times and rough and tumble with her brothers too. She's the total package. LOL
And Ethan, he is such a good kid. He amazes me with things that I didnt even know that he knew. He has an amazing memory. Its creepy at times when he talks freely about things that I think he should be too young to remember. He remembers everything. He is currently into trains and tonka type work trucks. Our neighbor gave us one of those plastic lil tikes car beds for Ethan. We dont need it really but I had the idea to make a sand box out of it. So that will be our next project. We need something to play with all of our work trucks in. They really need to haul the muck as he would say.
Anyway, I'll try to be better soon. Pray for us please as this new journey should be interesting.
4 nights in a row!!!!
Zach has been sleeping thru the night now for exactly 4 days!!!! I could do the minutes too but that truely seems over the top. lol He is doing so good, I almost hate to say it outloud. He has always been a good sleeper just not all the way thru the night. I could always get him back to sleep quickly when he did wake. Such a good boy!!!! The first morning I woke at 6:30 am I jumped up and smacked Ed on the arm and said....."its 6 fricken 30 and this is the first time I have been awake since last night!" I was so excited!!! Poor Ed.
So also in our little world here in TX(aka Africa). Ed started the "welcome to our MBA program" last wednesday and all went well. He is still liking being a bum(not working) and going to school. I tried to get him a Big Cheif tablet but he said he would be fine with locker magnets instead. lol He has a good group to work with for the first semester, one guy just got here from Saudi Arabia and in his intro he assured everyone that he wasnt a terrorist. Gotta love that he has a sense of humor. I'm still not as tense as I should be about this whole quit a good job and go to school deal. Im sure its coming though. lol We are trying to prepare some things, we have already done Christmas shopping for each other and gotten gift cards for family so as to not have to buy them later. We need to do a bit more of course but it is nice to think some is done!!!
We are still trying to decide what to do about Ethan and school this year vrs. preschool. The Keller preK program which by the way is a very mature way to say it for me lately is not an option afterall. Although I still think we should write the super here and let them know whats up. Ethan barely turned 5 right before the cutoff. So they are saying that they dont take 5 year olds. We arent ready for a full day full week school for him so prek was going to be a great deal, or so we thought. This rule of no 5 year olds was not on the internet qualifications so we have been pumping Ethan up for awhile that he is going to the school across the street but I guess the idiots here cant get their crap together enough to actually put ALL the qualifications on the internet. Be a shame for someone to actually do their job, I know. YES, I am still bitter. LOL This whole deal has really been crazy. Prek here is so expensive. Should be interesting, thats what I say now when i really want to curse loudly!!!!! lol Ok rant over!!
Lexie is at a funny stage now where she says the funniest things. She's always making us laugh. She loves taking care of baby zat, as she calls him. Anyhow, we went to the Wiggly Play Center last week and had a blast, I havent downloaded the pix yet but I will and get them up soon. I hope.
Well, here's to another week here in africa. And by the way, when school starts here I get Amy for some blog cuting up!! I am such a dink on the puter that I havent cuted this place up much. After visiting others blogs I seriously need some cuting!!!!
Date night!!
I had been waiting to post this because I wanted to get some Uno's clip art and attach it . But that is not going to happen. lol I just cant seem to get it together enough to do that. Anyhow, Ed and I worked at Uno's Pizzeria when we first got married. It was a way fun job and the food of course was fabuloso!! So last Saturday night we had a fabulous date night and we went to downtown Ft Worth. It was awesome, there were really neat street performers and the live music was awesome. It was hot but not too hot to walk around for awhile. It really is a beautiful city in the downtown area that is. So for dinner we went to Uno's and had pizza skins and spinocoli pizza and their yummy house salad with the red wine vinaigrette dressing. It was soooooo good!! It brought back so many memories and we had a great time seeing and smelling our past. We worked in the Tulsa store but there were alot of the same signs at bar and the tile floor. It was just so fun. Then we went to see Batman. Ohmygomy!!! That movie was frickin intense!! Really good though. Christain Bale is almost as hunky as my Ed, but not quite!! And the joker was about the scariest and funniest bad guy ever. Heath Ledger really did a fabulous job. Do you wanna see a magic trick?? lol I about jumped outa the chair when he did that!! Anyway, we got home really late and the next day was fast Sunday at church so we had all day to think about leftover Uno's for dinner. What a fabulous way to end a fast Sunday!!!
Mamma Mia!
I just got the Mamma Mia soundtrack. I know, I know......I'm a big geek. I soooooooo loved that movie and yes when it hits video it will me mine!!!!!!! The music is so fun and must be belted out at the top of your lungs. And yes, I am the dancing queen in case you were wondering. My poor kiddos will be haunted with Abba from now on. I have seen the movie twice already. If you haven't seen it.......go now!!! If you don't like it, it is pure sacrilege!! Just thought I'd share my thoughts and know that I will have the music memorized by nightfall. And yes my new ring tone is now dancing queen!!!!
Pioneer breakfast
The pioneer breakfast went well yesterday. It was alot of fun. We had yummy breakfast and a great program by the youth. Then the kiddos had a parade around the back of the parking area of the church. It was so fun and everyone had a great time. Ethan rode his bike in the parade and he loved it. Such a big boy. Daddy pulled Zach and Lexie in the wagon. Maybe santa will bring new bikes for Christmas. I'll have to chat with him.
I got this cute shot of Lexie and Brook. (Brook is in yellow and Lexie is striped with their arms around each other) By the way.... I did this all by myself this time. (added a pix) lol its the little things ya know.
My house though still smells like bacon. AAAAAaaaaaaahhhhhh!! I used to like bacon but it repulses me now. lol (note to self....never cook a ton of bacon again) It musta been good though, it was gone by shortly after 9 am. The breakfast started at 8:30 so once mormon standard time kicked in(15 mins late for everything) the bacon lasted about 20 mins. LOL The ladies at church helped so much. I didnt clean a thing, thats just the way I like it....hehehe.
It was way fun and even though I am totally a square peg here, I am here, so I will try to play the game.
BACON!!!!!!!
Oh my frickin bacon!!! So tomorrow is our "pioneer breakfast" with the whole ward. Being Stacey's partner planner I am baking 10 pounds of bacon tonight. AAAaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!! It all starts good but for some dumb reason I started at 8:30pm and now its 11:30 and I am still baking. The house is all smoggy with bacon grease and I still have one more batch to go before I can take a quick shower to degrease myself. I used to love bacon before tonight. LOL I hope someone actually shows up and I also hope the bacon is still good in the morning heated up. We'll see, I so need to go get a hit of my dr pepper(aka necta of da gods).
4th of July Pics
Pictures of the kids watching fireworks. Plus a bonus picture of Lexie with Oompa Loompa hair!
So, life never stops here in the Texas heat. But I got to go see Mamma Mia last weekend with the girlies at church. Oh my gosh that was the best show. I love the music and I was so loud that the guy next to me got up and left. ( I actually think he was sneaking into Batman.....at least thats what I am telling myself;)) The music is awesome and I loved Meryl Streep. 007 needed a few more singing lessons but still looked fine. I love cheesey musicals like that. I will definately be downloading the music on my new ipod. Yep, thats right I have a fancy new ipod because I have the best hubby ever. We already did our Christmas pressents to each other since we figure we wont want to spend money one each other then. The looming student situation that I am trying not to panic over. Ok, I'm not going there because it makes me break out in weird itchy hives if I'm not careful. So now I am thinking of rainbows and gummy bears.
I am helping plan a pioneer breakfast for the ward on Saturday. So since I was baptized in the 90's I think for the parade I'll wear a hot pink micro mini skirt and
some funky blue liner. I think that will confirm that I have officially lost it to the few Texans that dont already know it.
Ok, I am now going to try to attach a photo to this blog......wish me luck. Drum roll please. FAILURE!!!! Dang i suck at this technical world that I live in. Anyhow, maybe Ed can help later.
So I stink at this!!
Ok, so I stink at blogging. I want to blog but life kinda gets in the way!! Anyway, here I go again. I will have fourth pix up soon. We had a great low key holiday this year. We spent time with Gramma Owen and Gpa too. We played outside alot there and Lexie and baby Zach got to meet uncle Dirk for the first time. It was nice to see him and a couple of cousins too. Gramma has a huge Mimosa tree in her backyard and we had fun picking pink puff flowers and looking for "who's" inside. The kids got to go to the "feater" with daddy a few weeks ago and see Horton hears a Who. The absolutely loved it. So to see a huge tree full of pink puffs was the coolest thing ever to them. Yeah, I didnt get a pix of that but it was cute.
Then on the fourth we got up early and went to the zoo. It was pretty fun although the Tulsa Zoo is under some construction so we didnt see alot of animals that we wanted to see. The polar bear that has been there forever, since I was a kid, had finally died so it was kinda sad. And in the first building where they have the earthquake exhibit, Lexie wanted to do the fake earthquake but when the machine started moving she bailed. So I guess that means we cant ever live where there are earthquakes. She was so freaked out by it at first. The rest of the Zoo was fun but way hot that day!!
Then we came back to Gramma Guidry's house and had a cookout with the cousins and uncle Chris got a huge horsey bounce house. Which, by the way, I tested out and it was a blast!! We lit off fireworks and stayed up late and ate yummy food.
Saturday we swam for hours at aunt Jessie's house. Played with cousins and had a fabulous day. Mommy and daddy got a fun date night with aunt Jessie and uncle Chris and had a great time.
Pix to come from some cute cousin moments.
Ok, so I still ummm...
Ok, so I still am trying to figure this whole deal out. I want the blog to look cuter but man I can't seem to figure out how to do a cute template background. Oh, and adding a blog stalk list, ummmmm.....yeah I have no idea how to do that. Dang, I suck at this but if you need a diaper changed I can do it in 0.3 seconds. Even while nursing if I have to. Thank goodness I don't have to change diapers on the non-nursing ones anymore.;)
So we went to FW yesterday to ride the train and play at the park. It was a ton of fun even when the dang fire ants got my feet. Dang those things itch!! We bought some popcorn for the birds and kids. Ethan has this idea that he can grab a bird so he was running all over trying to catch one. (we saw a kid on AFV that grabbed a bird and the feathers went flying so every since then that is all he wants to do if he sees a bird) It looks like we may be staying here instead of moving to a closer place to TCU. The inner city schools suck so we'll probably just stay here. We live right across the street from a great elementary school.
We are really looking forward to our trip to Ok next week!! We love being there for the forth. Hopefully we can do some fun things there. We want to go to the zoo while there. The Tulsa zoo is much smaller than the FW zoo. The set up is also much better for little kids. The FW one is set up on a boardwalk so for little kids to be able to see I have to lift them up over and over. Plus in Oklahoma we have grandma's too. Its so much more fun to go with grama!!!
Well, hopefully pix will be coming today sometime!! I really am working on that one next.
